Meet Fiona Wilson

Antenatal Hypnobirthing Teacher

Hi, I'm Fiona, a mum of two and Antenatal Hypnobirthing Teacher based in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.

After having my own babies, I couldn't keep everything I'd learned to myself. I was amazed by how little we as women are taught about our bodies and birth, and just how incredible they truly are. It also struck me how many expectant parents approach birth feeling uncertain, lacking confidence, and unprepared for the decisions they may face along the way.

I've sat in consultant appointments, attended growth scans, and faced difficult decisions myself, so I know pregnancy can sometimes feel overwhelming.

That's why I'm passionate about helping families understand their options and feel confident making the choices that are right for them.

Having experienced birth both on a labour ward at Frimley Park Hospital and at home with the Lavender Home Birth Team, I bring personal experience alongside professional knowledge to the families I support.

Now, I work with expectant parents across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, helping them prepare for birth in a way that feels right for them through my in-depth, comprehensive antenatal courses.

Whether you're planning a hospital birth, birth centre birth or home birth, considering pain relief or hoping to avoid it, facing an induction or preparing for spontaneous labour, I'm here as your local antenatal teacher to help you navigate your options and approach birth feeling informed, confident and empowered.

"The sessions were extremely informative and great at showing my partner how he can be really present and supportive before and during my labour.

We honestly can’t thank Fiona enough, her course is invaluable and we’re excited to put everything into practice.

Why Choose Hypnatal Birthing

Evidence-Based Birth Preparation

My antenatal hypnobirthing courses combine practical antenatal education with evidence-based hypnobirthing techniques, so you can make informed decisions and approach birth with confidence.

It's not hippy, it's science. I provide honest, balanced information and tools that really work.

Personalised Support

I know that every family and birth is different. What is right for you may not be right for another family.

Whether you're doing my private 1:1 course at your home, or a group programme with other birth teams, you'll receive individual support tailored to your needs, helping you feel seen, heard and fully prepared for your birth journey.

A Friendly Community for Parents

I know first-hand how hard it can feel becoming a parent. Even if you've got friends with little ones, it's likely they're already in a very different stage to you.

My group antenatal courses and community events give you the opportunity to connect with other local parents, share experiences and build friendships that can continue well into your mat leave.

My Journey To Become a Hypnobirthing Teacher

My passion for hypnobirthing & antenatal education began during my first pregnancy in 2019.

Like many first-time mums, I felt overwhelmed by the idea of birth. I worried about how I'd cope with labour and losing control. Discovering hypnobirthing changed everything for me and Sam, my husband and birth partner. Learning about birth, understanding my options, and using really simple but powerful tools & techniques helped me approach birth feeling excited and confident.

I went on to have two different but equally positive birth experiences:

  • a water birth with my son Henry on the Labour Ward at Frimley Park Hospital (read the full story here)

  • and a home birth with my daughter Maisie, supported by he local Lavender Home Birth Team (here's her story).

In 2023, I trained with The Little Birth Company as a Hypnobirthing Teacher so I could help other parents experience the same confidence and empowerment that hypnobirthing gave me.

Alongside my hypnobirthing training, I have completed additional training in Consent & Rights in Childbirth with Emma Ashworth, and Biomechanics for Birth with Molly O'Brien of Optimal Birth.

This helps me support families to understand their rights, feel confident asking questions, and making informed decisions throughout pregnancy and birth. It also means my antenatal courses are packed full of practical knowledge and insights into how your baby's position and your body's movements can support labour to progress more comfortably and efficiently with in-depth knowledge about the pelvis and your baby's journey through it (something that is not covered in standard antenatal classes).

Having done NCT and Hypnobirthing during my own pregnancies, I have designed my antenatal hypnobirthing course to cover absolutely everything you need to know to have a positive birth experience.

There is nothing I love more than seeing parents-to-be approach birth feeling confident and empowered, and I can't wait to help you feel that way too. Ready to dive into some in-depth birth prep? Hit the button below and let's get going!
